‘The Great India Education Fair’ (TGIEF) has achieved significant global standing in positioning India as a great destination of education. Now in its 13th year, TGIEF is not just considered as a platform for student’s enrollment but also as powerful platform for insightful learning, academic partnership, collaboration between the Indian and local institutions abroad.

TGIEF brings over 75 – 100 India’s leading Universities, Colleges, Educational Institutions and Schools from various parts of the country on one platform to showcase the education opportunity from primary to higher education in India. TGIEF provides a great opportunity to enhance your institutions presence in the international markets by connecting directly with large number of foreigners, Indian diaspora, and NRI’s considering good education in India.

TGIEF@MONGOLIA

KEY FACTS
India and Monglia have interacted since antiquity through the vehicle of Buddhism throughout the history. Since to most Mongols India is the land of Buddha, Lamas and students from Mongolia used to travel to Nalanda, once the largest residential University in India, to study Buddhism.

India and Mongolia are ancient lands of the ancient people of Asia. The historic and cultural collaboration between India and Mongolia is most fascinating and unique and is as old as the history of the spread of Indian culture and ideas into Central Asia and Siberia.

ICCR scholarships: For the Academic Year 2018-19, Mongolia has been offered 50 slots (20 slots each under Aid to Mongolia and General Cultural Scholarship Scheme and 10 slots under Cultural Exchange Programme/Education. Besides these scholarships are available under AYUSH scholarship scheme also). For the Academic Year 2019-20, significant numbers of Mongolian students have joined various institutes in India. ICCR provides 50 scholarships per year to Mongolian nationals for pursuing higher studies in India. Also, 4 students are granted scholarships to study Hindi language at Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra annually. For the year 2019-20, 4 Mongolian students availed scholarship to learn Hindi at KHS, Agra.

Indian Community: The Indian community in Mongolia are either employed in organized sector or are self-employed such as operating Indian restaurants which are popular with the Mongolians and foreigners in Mongolia. There is a small number of Persons of Indian Origin (PIO). A small number of Mongolians are connected to India either by way of being married to Indians or been born and raised in India. Embassy of India celebrates PravasiBhartiya Divas (PBD), Diwali, Holi, etc. with good participation with Indians in Mongolia.

  1. GDP: Qatar has the second highest GDP per capita in the world andhas the highest per capita income in the world due to Qatar being an oil producing nation and also has the third largest natural gas reserves.
  2. Large Indian Population: Indian nationals comprise the largest expatriate community in Qatar. The Indian population in Qatar currently stands at around 691,000 out of total population of 2,740,479. Indians are engaged in a wide spectrum of professionals, including medicine; engineering; education, finance; banking; business; media and labour.The Indian diaspora prefers to migrate to other countries or come back to India due to the Qatar’s restrictive citizenship practices.
